Being a Free Agent for 3 is completely free.

No. However, if you do join 3 Pay As You Go, you'll get all these benefits.

When you become a Free Agent for 3 you can start promoting our free Pay As You Go SIMs to friends using our email option. You can also advertise your Free Agent for 3 page all over the internet using a unique URL that links to your order page. For every person that orders a SIM from your page and tops it up with at least £10, you get £5.

This money is then paid into your PayPal account. You can keep the money in your PayPal account and use it to buy stuff on the internet, or you can transfer the funds into your bank account. Please note that if you must provide us with your PayPal details within 6 months of earning a payment in order to be paid.

• It will take up to 28 days from your friend's top-up before your PayPal account is credited.
• Check that you have given us the correct PayPal account Id, this is the email address your PayPal account is registed with.
• Your friend needs to have topped up by at least £10, so check that they've done this. You can send them a top-up reminder email from the Orders tab.
• If they top-up by £5, next time they only need to top-up another £5 for you to get your reward.
• To be eligible for the reward your friend must have ordered a SIM from your 3 Free Agent page you sent them and not obtained a SIM from any other source.
• Your friend needs to top-up within 180 days of receiving their SIM.
• Your friend might have put the SIM into a 2G phone. If they've done this, neither of your will receive any money/credit. Our SIM should only be used in a 3G phone.

PayPal is an internet-based system for sending and receiving money. It's a bit like an online bank account - people can pay money into your PayPal account and you can use the funds to buy stuff wherever PayPal is accepted. You can also transfer money from PayPal to your bank account or to other accounts.

The easiest way to let your friends know about your Free Agent page is to use our email promotion tool. This allows you to import all your existing email contacts into the email, so you can send everyone a personalised message explaining how they can get their free 3 SIM. Of course, you should be comfortable that your friends will be happy to receive your email.

People can find your Free Agent for 3 page at your unique URL. This is available on the Promote 3 tab and in the emails you send to your friends. The number of people you get to look at your page will depend on how well you promote it.

To delete your account completely you'll need to get in touch with us by email.

There's no limit to the amount of money you can make by being a Free Agent for 3.

You only get paid after your customer puts the SIM in their phone and tops it up with at least £10. You can check the progress of your orders by clicking here.

If you want to become a Free Agent, you should be at least 16 years old. Of course, free SIMs are available to everyone.

You won't be able to sign-up for a PayPal account if you're under 18 years old, so you'll need to get a friend or family member to accept payments into their account for you. However, 3 cannot be responsible for making sure your friend or family member gives you the money.

It can take up to 7 days to receive your SIM. If you've been waiting longer and you think your SIM may have gone missing in the post, you can re-request it from the same Free Agent you originally ordered from.

You must apply for a SIM from the Free Agent for 3 who sent you their link to be eligible for the extra credit. Any free SIMs ordered from any other source are NOT eligible for Free Agent extra credit.

Yes, you can order a maximum of 5 SIMs to be sent to a single delivery address within each calendar quarter. If you’re a Free Agent for 3 and you’d like to order a bulk number of SIMs to distribute, please get in touch.

Double check your balance in My3 - there should be an extra £2 credit within two weeks of you first topping up by £10 or more (or the second time you top-up by £5). If it's not there, please get in touch with us and we'll make sure it's added to your account.

You can only use your SIM in a 3G phone. See our checker to check if your phone is 3G. Also, [I'd like to check that the FAQs for the Free SIMS (aside from the Free Agent offer) properly deal with the handset issues. Your SIM may work temporarily in a 2G phone but will be detected within a short time and will be disconnected from the network.
